American Market

American Market is small convenience store in rural Tennessee. For American Market’s logo redesign, I wanted to go with a simple but bold look. The blocky typeface increases readability as well as appeals to a more traditional and conservative audience. The three stars present on the original logo (below) are still there, displayed beside the wordmark. Of course, the iconic red, white, and blue are still used in the redesign. Two different American Market badges serve to provide creative ways to use the logo in different circumstances.

Megsterpieces

Megsterpieces is a brand created by the artist Meg Gould. With a growing following on social media, Meg wanted a logo that would make her brand recognizable and attract new followers. Meg is an avid painter so incorporating a paint brush was very important to her. Meg worked closely with me while developing the logo and I was able to design something we were both happy with.

Tennessee Department of Transportation

Over the summer of 2021, I had the opportunity to work with the Tennessee Department of Transportation as a Graphic Design Intern. One of my responsibilities was to design logos for events that were happening over the summer. I designed for two events over the summer, and TDOT liked the logos so much that I was also asked to create a logo for a future event, outside of the internship.

Roadeo logo

Roadeo logo

This logo is for the Roadeo event. Employees compete in challenges using the heavy machinery used for road work. Employees from around the region come to compete and it’s a time were everyone gets to come together as a community. The theme I was given for the logo was the bible verse Proverbs 27:17, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

Boot Camp logo

Boot Camp logo

This is the logo for a training event called Boot Camp. The event was created in the summer of 2021. Employees from every county in the region needed to complete online training, but many do not have access to computers. Boot Camp was created to bring those employees in to the main office to train. The Boot Camp theme and branding were designed to get the employee’s attention and make them interested in the event.

Snowbusters logo

Snowbusters logo

I was asked to create this logo in advance of an event for the winter months. This logo is for the road workers that work hard to keep roads snow and ice free in the winter. I was asked to create a snow globe, and I decided to put a crack in it to play off “Snowbusters.”
